AZIPHAR 900mg 22,5ml

Pack: Before use the powder should be reconstituted with water.


Azithromycin is indicated for the treatment of the following infections, when caused by micro-organisms sensitive to azithromycin:

Lower respiratory tract infection:  bronchitis,  pneumonia

Upper respiratory tract infection: sinusitispharyngitis, tonsillitis, otitis media.

Skin and soft tissue infections.

Uncomplicated genital infections due to Chlamydia trachomatis or Neisseria gonorrhoeae.



Shake well before use.
Oral once daily, oral 1 hour before meals or 2 hour after meals.

Pack: Before use the powder should be reconstituted with water. Stir well before  use.

Bottle: Knock slighly the bottle for flued powder. Open the cap. Pour gradually the boiled water to under the mark of volume. (Volume of 15g bottle is 15ml, volume of 22,5g bottle is 22,5ml) close the cap and shake well. Make volume to the mark. Shake well. Concentrationg of azithromycin is 200mg/5ml. Use water at room temperature. Do not use hot or warm water.

Storage: Suspensions after reconstitution is stored under 300C. Do not store in the refrigerator because it can increase the bitter taste of the drug.

Suspensions after reconstitution may be used in 10 days.


Dosage: By instructions of doctor

Children:  10 mg/kg on the first day, followed by doses of 5 mg/kg/day for the folloing 2 days to 5 days mg/kg/day for three days.

Adults and Children > 45kg:  500 mg on the first day and then 250 mg/day for the following 4 days or 500 mg/day, for three days.


Administration in genital infections as urethritis, cervicitis due to Chlamydia trachomatis with a single oral dose 1g.

Elderly people

The same dose as in adult patients is used for the elderly people.
